Since the beginning of this year, Oslo Economics have had the pleasure of conducting a mid-term review of the support given to the National Audit Chamber of South Sudan (NAC) through the Strategic Change Project 2020-2025, involving cooperation with capacity development partners like the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Norway, INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), Office of the Auditor General Kenya and the African Organisation of English-speaking Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI-E). The contractor of this project is IDI. The writing process is now in its final stages, and we will post the final report on our websites in the upcoming weeks.
As part of the data collection in the project, our two consultants Elias Sandnes and Morten Schjødt-Osmo had the opportunity to travel to Juba in South Sudan. In Juba, they conducted interviews with the Auditor General of South Sudan and other employees of the National Audit Chamber of South Sudan.
Oslo Economics wish to thank the Auditor General and everyone at the National Audit Chamber of South Sudan for the warm welcome and insightful conversations. In addition, we wish to thank IDI for this interesting assignment, and especially our consultant’s travelling comrade Jostein Tellnes.
