Torben Mideksa is Associate Professor at Uppsala University. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Oslo and has an educational background from University of Oslo, Harvard University, MIT and Mekelle University (Ethiopia). His current research covers the areas of Resource, Environmental, Development, and Political Economics as well as teaching Microeconomics, Industrial Economics, and Contract Theory.
Torben’s research has appeared in leading economics journals including Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Law, Economics, and Organizations and Journal of Environmental Economics and Management. Specifically, his research covered topics such as tropical deforestation, environmental regulations, and European energy markets. Past experience includes research positions at Harvard University Center for Environment, University of Oslo, and Cicero Center for International Climate Research.
At Oslo Economics Torben contributes to projects related to environment and natural resources, energy, development, and competition.
