Christopher Markhus Poots

Christopher Markhus Poots holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics. He completed a master’s degree on a research distinction track and has worked as a teaching assistant within the fields of empirical methods and econometrics both on a bachelor’s and a master’s level. This has given him strong analytical skills and valuable experience in the use of quantitative methods and data processing. In his master thesis, Christopher used advanced econometric models to investigate if the oil price decline in 2014 had a causal effect on domestic violence in Norway. Christopher also has experience from the Norwegian Seafood Council in Brazil, where he wrote an extensive study of the Brazilian market for Norwegian seafood.
