Ole Martin Davanger

Ole Martin Davanger graduated with a MSc from Norwegian School of Economics, specializing in economics and business analytics. He also holds a BA from Wofford College in SC, US, with a double major in business economics and mathematics.

As a consultant in Oslo Economics, he has gained relevant experience within sectors such as the power sector, the water and sewage sector and the construction sector. He has worked as an external consultant at Statnett on two occasions, where he has worked on socio-economic analyses of power grid development and reserve markets for electricity. Ole Martin has also conducted several studies for ministries, municipalities, government agencies and interest groups. He has acquired good methodological expertise in socio-economic analyses and analyses of both qualitative and quantitative information.

New Museum for Art and Design in Trondheim?

Oslo Economics, in collaboration with Bygganalyse, Snøhetta and SYSTRA, has completed the first stage of quality assurance (QA1) for a concept study on a new museum for art and design in Trondheim. The study looks at future solutions for Trondheim Art Museum and the National Museum of Decorative Arts and Design. Their current buildings are outdated, and the National Museum of Decorative Arts and Design is partly closed.

Does labour immigration replace or complement domestic workers?

Oslo Economics has investigated how the increased labor immigration to Norway after the EEA expansion in 2004 affected employment among the domestic population. Based on register data analyses, we find that there is no overall displacement effect. However, the immigration did affect the occupational structure and educational choices among young people.
