Selma Conradi Melsom holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Oslo (UiO) and has experience with various issues within the field of economics.
She wrote her master’s thesis at the Frisch Centre, where she investigated the impact of a change in student financial aid on completion rates among Norwegian students. Through this research, she developed expertise in processing and analyzing large datasets.
Additionally, Selma has work experience from the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) in the Innovation and Industrial Development Department. Her work at FFI involved exploring how sustainable transitions could mitigate risks and enhance competitiveness in the defense sector. Selma has also worked in the Tax Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance and was an intern at Oslo Economics during the summer of 2023.
