Eivind Jørgensen, one of Norway’s most experienced health economists, comes from the role of Managing Director of the consultancy firm Oecona in Norway and Sweden. He holds a degree in economics from the University of Oslo (Cand. Oecon.) and have additional education in Health Economics (Diploma of HE) and Project Management (BI Norw. Business School).
He has many years of experience from consultancy services in health economic modelling and analysis, market access and strategic advice to the pharmaceutical industry. Eivind has also worked in pharmaceutical and MedTech companies from across the Nordics.
Eivind has been developing HTA dossiers and models since 2000 both in Excel and TreeAge within a great number of therapeutic areas. As head of the health economics department in a consulting company, and later from Oecona, Eivind has also supervised the development of a considerable number of HTA dossiers. For more than 20 years, he has had close contact and good relations with Norwegian governmental bodies such as NoMA and the Hospital Procurement Trust. Prior to his consultancy career, Eivind worked in pharmaceutical companies such as AstraZeneca, Amgen and BMS.
