Oslo Economics has investigated how the increased labor immigration to Norway after the EEA expansion in 2004 affected employment among the domestic population. Based on register data analyses, we find that there is no overall displacement effect. However, the immigration did affect the occupational structure and educational choices among young people.
The Norwegian Directorate of Health and Norsk Helsenett, in collaboration with general practitioners, have developed a digital triage solution on Helsenorge.no. Oslo Economics has conducted a follow-up evaluation of the solution. The solution requires patients booking appointments online to complete a form describing their health concerns and symptoms prior to the consultation.
