Bjerkreim municipality and Veidekke reach settlement

Oslo Economics has assisted Bjerkreim municipality with economic analyses in connection with a compensation claim. The parties have reached a settlement of NOK 14 million, which is close to our assessment and significantly lower than the original claim of NOK 40 million.

The Norwegian Competition Authority has approved Schlumberger’s acquisition of ChampionX with conditions. Oslo Economics has assisted with analyses related to potential horizontal effects on competition resulting from the acquisition.

Evaluation of digital triage solution in general practice

The Norwegian Directorate of Health and Norsk Helsenett, in collaboration with general practitioners, have developed a digital triage solution on Helsenorge.no. Oslo Economics has conducted a follow-up evaluation of the solution. The solution requires patients booking appointments online to complete a form describing their health concerns and symptoms prior to the consultation.

Mentor program for newly recruited healthcare professionals 

Commissioned by The Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS), Oslo Economics in collaboration with Professor Grethe Eilertsen at the University of South-Eastern Norway conducted an evaluation of the mentor program for newly recruited healthcare professionals.  

Court of Appeals: Excluding commercial providers from public procurement of nursing homes was unlawful

In a case between Oslo municipality and two commercial providers of nursing homes (Norlandia and Stendi), Borgarting Court of Appeals has decided that Oslo municipality’s exclusion of commercial providers from a public procurement of nursing home services was unlawful.
