The Norwegian Competition Authority (NCA) has approved Nortura’s acquire of Prima Slakt AS and Jæren Eiendomsinvest AS, and 49 percent of the shares in NorPri AS. The transaction makes it possible to develop Jæren Eiendomsinvest’s factory at Kviamarka and Nortura’s factory at the same place. This can realise economies of scale in slaughtering and cutting. The NCA announced earlier that they considered stopping the acquisition. Oslo Economics has assisted the parties in connection with NCA’s investigation.
