Reorganisation of fire services

Oslo Economics is analysing three options for how to reorganise fire services in Norwegian municipalities.

All proposals imply a lager degree of inter-municipal cooperation on fire services, while the number of fire stations remain.

A project lead by Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB) will use the analysis as a basis of a proposal to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (JD). The project is considering how resources spent of fire services can be used optimally.
