Oslo Economics has been awarded two new analysis contracts concerning public transportation: We are to propose measures to further develop the Norwegian auto ferry market for the Norwegian Road Authority, and we are nominated to assist the Department for Transportation with analytical work relating to the proposed reform of the railway administration.
Together with consultancy firms DNV-GL and Inventura, Oslo Economics will conduct a study to propose measures in order to further develop the Norwegian auto ferry transportation market. The Norwegian Road Authority contracts the operation of ferries to shipping companies, and intends its contracts with the private sector to promote efficient utilization of public funds and vessels involved in the ferry transport.
Oslo Economics is also nominated for another contract together with Rejlers, an engineering consultancy. The contract entails services to the Norwegian Department for Transportation connected to the proposed reform of the railway administration. The reform is meant to reorganize the national railway operator NSB, in order to establish a more efficient division of tasks and responsibility.
