On behalf of The Agency for Public Management and eGovernemnt, Oslo Economics has analysed state businesses’ needs for statistics and data on public procurement compared with defined goals.
The main goal for public procurement is efficiency. Assessment of structured data on spending in public agencies can contribute efficiency in public spending on goods and services.
Oslo Economics discusses measures to enhance targeting of public procurement, for instance e-commerce and various databases supporting the procurement process. Specific data sets with potential to aid the strategic management og public procurement are identified in the report.
