On behalf of The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) Oslo Economics has analysed data illustrating imbalances between the need for and investment in highways. The data shows that the government has generally prioritised investments in counties that locate highways with high traffic. Some counties, however, stand out from this pattern. Our overall analysis shows that the counties Sogn og Fjordane, More og Romsdal, Nordland and Vestfold have received relatively greatest road investments in the period from 2006 to 2013. The counties with relatively small road investments in the same period are Oslo, Buskerud and Telemark.
