In an increasing number of merger cases the Competition Authorities use economic “evidence” in their case handling, and in particular diversion ratios. Oslo Economics has been involved in several cases considered by the Authority and where diversion ratios have been gained and considered. Oslo Economics participated in a debate at the University of Bergen 10th September on the use of diversion ratios in merger cases on the basis of A-pressen recent purchase of Edda Media.
