The Norwegian Competition Authority (NCA) has allowed TeliaSonera’s acquisition of Tele2’s Norwegian business. The agreement means that TeliaSonera obtains ownership over Tele2’s portfolio of customers and brands, including OneCall, MyCall and Tele2. Post-transaction, TeliaSonera’s Norwegian business serves about 2.4 million customers. According to Dagens Næringsliv, the value of the transaction is 4.5 billion Swedish kroner (SEK). After the NCA gave warning of stopping the acquisition, the parties have offered additional remedies. The remedies include a transfer of 90,000 corporate customers and network infrastructure to competitor ICE. In addition, TeliaSonera and ICE have agreed on a roaming contract. Oslo Economics has assisted the parties together with law firms Simonsen Vogt Wiig and Schjødt.
