Oslo Economics has analysed employment on Oslo Airport, both directly and indirectly. The analysis has been performed on behalf of Akershus County Council in collaboration with Hedmark County Council, Oslo Airport, Øvre Romerrike utvikling and Hamarregionen utvikling.

The number of employees directly related to activities at Oslo Airport is about 12 400 people, an increase of 400 people since 2001. Due to the strong passenger growth, the number of employees per airline passenger is reduced. Measured by the number of employees per million air passengers, Oslo Airport is among the most efficient airports in Europe.
