On behalf of Møre og Romsdal County Municipality, Oslo Economics has assessed and proposed changes in the model for distributing income in the Central Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Midt-Norge RHF). The company is responsible for hospitals and specialist health services in the three mid-Norwegian counties.
Ensuring a fair distribution of funds that gives the inhabitants access to necessary health care is the purpose of the proposed changes.
The report provides a description and comparison of income distribution models in Norwegian health regions. Oslo Economics has also estimated the effects of the proposed changes for health care funding in Møre og Romsdal Health Authority.
