Oslo Economics has, on behalf of Helse Møre og Romsdal HF, carried out quality assurance of the concept phase (KSK) of the AIO project (emergency department, intensive care and surgery) at Ålesund Hospital.
In recent years, the need for more upgrades of Ålesund Hospital has become apparent. In 2020, the board of Helse Møre og Romsdal HF approved a building development plan that forms the basis for further work on the development of buildings and property. A concept phase has been completed and a comprehensive package of measures is recommended, which includes extensions, rebuilding and upgrading of the hospital.
Our overall assessment is that the basis for the project to proceed to the pre-project phase has been met. Economic load-bearing capacity analyzes and conditions related to safeguarding the internal and external environment during simultaneous construction and operation can nevertheless be developed to some extent towards a final decision.
