Halvard Sandvik Jansen

Halvard Sandvik Jansen holds an MsC in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), with a major in Economic Analysis (ECO) and on the Research Distinction Track (RDT). He is scheduled to defend his PhD in Economics at the University of Bergen in 2023. In his research, Halvard has specialized in applied microeconometrics within health, education and labor economics. His articles cover a wide array of policy-relevant topics, where mental health in upper secondary education and the individual-level effects of implementing competitive tendering in the Norwegian bus industry feature prominently. Through his work, Halvard has accumulated a broad expertise in causal policy analysis and the use of random variation in large datasets.
