Halvard Sandvik Jansen

Halvard Sandvik Jansen holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Bergen, as well as an MsC in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). In his research, Halvard has specialized in applied microeconometrics within health, education and labor economics. His articles cover a wide array of policy-relevant topics, where mental health and dropout in upper secondary education and the individual-level effects of implementing competitive tendering in the Norwegian bus industry feature prominently. Through his research, Halvard has accumulated a broad expertise in causal policy analysis. In Oslo Economics, Halvard has taken part in several projects with health, education and labor market topics, as well as several evaluations of public policies and practices within public institutions. He is often responsible for the collection, processing and analysis of quantitative data in different projects.
