Eileen Fumagalli is an economist from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, holding a master’s degree (M.Sc.) and a Ph.D. from Università Bocconi in Milan. She has further strengthened her expertise with a Postgraduate Diploma in European Competition Law from King’s College in London. Eileen specializes in the field of competition economics.
Eileen has over 13 years of experience as a senior advisor at the Competition Authority, and has also served as a national expert in the EU Commission. Her work at the authority has endowed her with extensive experience in assessing collusion cases, evaluating market power and firms’ conduct in the market, as well as mergers and acquisitions in various sectors. Eileen also has experience in conducting and quality-checking analyses, as well as in interdisciplinary work, including competitive assessments of new legislative proposals and the preparation of legal guidance.
Prior to the Competition Authority, Eileen worked as a consultant at LECG Consulting and as a research fellow at Università Bocconi in Milan.
