Nora Damlien holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Bergen (UiB). Through her studies, she has developed solid expertise in empirical methods, with particular emphasis on econometrics and cost-benefit analysis. Her master’s thesis employed registry data to examine how parental separation affects children’s academic performance at the end of compulsory education.
Alongside her studies, Nora has held several positions and engagements, including chair of the student association for economics students at UiB, teaching assistant, student ambassador, and research assistant at the Department of Economics on multiple occasions. She also spent a semester abroad at the University of Valencia.
During her studies, she completed an internship at Innovation Norway in Paris, where she worked on topics such as offshore wind and the green maritime industry. In the summer of 2024, she was an intern at Oslo Economics, contributing to a project on sports and social inclusion, where she worked with both qualitative and quantitative methods.
