Jakob Longva Reiersen holds a degree in economics and business administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), with a master’s in financial economics. He specialized in modern financial markets, macroeconomics, and financial econometrics, with a focus on empirical analysis and quantitative methods. His master’s thesis examined how private equity buyouts affect Norwegian companies, focusing on growth, productivity, and capital structure. He has also studied abroad at LUISS University in Rome and the University of Queensland in Brisbane.

Jakob has work experience from Nordea Markets, where he worked with company and market analysis, and from the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection, where he analyzed data from the national entry register during the Covid pandemic. He has also taught Data Processing for Economists as a teaching assistant at NHH and worked as a journalist for Amedia.
