Thea Ringstad holds a Master’s degree in International Business from Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and a Bachelor’s degree in business and administration from Bergen University College. Thea has worked in the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Trade, Industries and Fisheries and the Norwegian Railway Directorate, and has broad experience with use of economic analyses in public sector. Thea has worked with surveys, evaluations and assessments of needs and economic consequences in relation to large public investments and implementation of market reforms within the transportation sector, i.a. taxi services, rail services and the coastal route Bergen-Kirkenes.
Thea has carried out public procurements with a high level of complexity, process risk and social significance, including being the project manager for the procurement of passenger transport by railway in Eastern Norway. By managing public undertakings and companies, Thea has gained widespread insight into state management processes.
