In addition, the regulation will facilitate that gambling can be a source of income for social benefit purposes such as humanitarian work, sports, health, research and culture.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the market is organized through an exclusive right model, which means that gambling are organized by Norsk Tipping and Norsk Rikstoto. However, this model is challenged by companies illegally&nbsp;offering online gambling from abroad. Foreign gambling companies have proposed that the exclusive rights model is replaced by a license model where they also are granted the right to offer gambling in Norway.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of ExtraStiftelsen and the Norwegian Sports Federation, Oslo Economics has investigated the consequences of transitioning to a license model for gambling in Norway.
