In his master’s thesis, he examined the effects of the 2017 Mortgage Regulation on the apartment market in Oslo. The thesis applied a fuzzy difference-in-differences framework to analyse relative price responses across different size segments in the market and discussed the regulation’s impact on young people’s ability to enter the housing market.
Jakob has served as a class representative and as a mathematics tutor at BI during his master’s studies. Outside of academia, he has experience from anti-money laundering work at KPMG, mathematics tutoring, and several years as an athlete on the Norwegian national development team in Nordic combined.
