Hevar Mariwan Said holds a degree in economics from the University of Oslo (UiO). He has particular expertise in international trade, labor economics, macroeconomic analysis, and time series econometrics.

Before joining Oslo Economics, he worked at Norges Bank (the Central Bank of Norway) in the Monetary Policy Department, where he was involved in data analysis and presentation, as well as providing support for the Monetary Policy Report. At Norges Bank, he also conducted various analyses, including forecast evaluations and the use of aggregated card transaction data as early indicators of economic developments.

Hevar has, among other things, developed an index for monetary policy uncertainty in Norway, based on text analysis of news articles. Through both his studies and professional experience, he has gained solid expertise in conducting and communicating economic analyses in a clear and accessible way.
