Bjørn Hansen new associate partner in Oslo Economics

Bjørn Hansen, Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Southeast Norway, joins as an associate partner in Oslo Economics. Bjørn has expertise in industrial organization and economic regulation, and he has particular knowledge of the telecommunications sector. Bjørn has previously taught competition analysis at NHH. During his research career, Bjørn has had publications in leading international journals in economics. In addition, Bjørn has practical business experience after working for several years in an international company.

Bjørn’s expertise will help to ensure high professional quality in our studies, and we are pleased to have Bjørn on the team.

Analysis of the marginal costs of activity growth in the Norwegian specialist health service

Oslo Economics, in collaboration with Sverre Kittelsen (Frisch Centre), Kjartan Sarheim Anthun (SINTEF) and Jon Magnussen (NTNU), has calculated the marginal costs associated with increasing the activity levels in the Norwegian specialist health service. The study is part of the foundation for the Norwegian government’s recently announced healthcare plan and has been conducted on the behalf of the Ministry of Health and Care Services.

New framework agreement with DG Competition: Economic assessment in State aid cases 

Oslo Economics, in collaboration with Schjødt, has entered into another framework agreement with the Directorate-General for Competition (DG Competition) of the European Commission.  
Under this framework agreement, Oslo Economics and Schjødt will provide expert support to DG Competition in state aid cases. This includes assessments of various types of transactions involving the use of State resources, such as equity investments, loans, guarantees, or sales.
