Maria Svege Iglebæk

Maria Svege Iglebæk holds a Master’s degree in Economics (MSc) from the University of Bergen, where she specialized in empirical methods. At UiB, she wrote a master’s thesis in environmental economics, analyzing how insufficient safety testing in the aviation industry may have potential environmental consequences. Through her thesis work, she gained extensive experience in processing and analyzing large datasets.
Her previous work experience includes an internship in the Economic Policy Department at the Norwegian Ministry of Finance. Her tasks involved collecting data and contributing to the report on Long-term Perspectives on the Norwegian Economy, as well as ensuring quality through improvements in readability and comprehension. Maria has also worked as teaching assistant alongside her studies at the university, where she, among other things, supervised bachelor’s theses. Through her professional experience, Maria has developed strong skills in collecting and presenting relevant data, synthesizing information from different sources, and communicating complex issues in a clear and accessible way.
